Team Building, Adventure, and Recreation

Our beautiful 100-acre property hosts a wide range of safe, enriching activities for groups that speak directly to their age, interest, and abilities. From hiking to zip lining, we encourage groups to try new activities and strive for new goals while enjoying their camp experience.

Open Recreation Activities:

Camp Cherokee offers a variety of land activities to rental groups at no additional rate. With an outdoor basket ball court, frisbee golf course, gaga ball pit, sand volleyball court, and athletic field, there are sports for everyone! For hikers, we have a few trails at camp that take you to the largest Beaver Dam in South Carolina or you can venture to the State or National park where the trails range in level of difficulty!

Low Ropes/ Team Building:

Let our experienced staff guide your group to challenge their decision making skills, while revealing leadership, and bonding as a team. Beginning with group initiatives, groups will be entertained by their teammates’ strategies and interactions leading into physically and mentally challenging low ropes elements. These elements require strategy, leadership, teamwork, trust, communication, and cooperation from all participants.

Canopy Tour and High Ropes:

Get a birds eye view of camp on the Canopy Tour! With eight zip lines and 2 sky bridges, the Canopy tour has plenty of adventure for everyone. Challenge your group to climb our 35 foot climbing wall. It will be challenge by choice, so climb 3 feet or all the way to the top! Our experienced staff will give you pointers along the way!

Archery:

Let our talented staff teach you the parts of a bow and arrow, range safety, and how to hit a bullseye! Our archery range is equipped with a variety of bows for both adults and children to help everyone find success!

Water Sports:

Supervised by our life guards, kayaking, canoeing, stand-up paddle boarding, and swimming in Lake York are perfect for the spring, summer and fall months. Our water sports offer a chance for adventure, simple change of scenery, or relaxing day on the lake.
