YMCA Camp Cherokee and the Cherokee Conservation Corps strive to preserve our legacy, while preparing our future. For years, YMCA Camp Cherokee has adapted, but maintained the long lasting traditions that so many have come to know and love. As we look forward to the future at camp, we have identified several needs. The Recreation Hall project at camp will not only provide a large indoor flex program space for campers and staff during overnight resident summer camp, but will also provide a state-of-the-art facility for off-season programs such as retreats, weddings and conferences. In addition, the Recreation Hall project will provide space for a new infirmary, staff offices and living quarters for full-time staff. This new modern facility will provide space to accommodate our growing camp family, expanded areas for campers to gather around the fireplace, fellowship during a rainy day, and connect through songs, games and camp traditions, both new and old.
