Habitats and Adaptations

Goal: Students will observe and explain the habitats around them and adaptations that help animals survive.  
  Objectives:

  • Students will construct explanations of what helps different animals survive (2.L.5A.2).

  • Students will construct explanations and find examples of characteristics of organisms that are inherited from parents and the environment (4.L.5A.4).

  • Students will construct explanations for and experience how camouflage allows animals to survive in the environment (4.L.5B.3).
